A department that existed but had no clear mandate, no measures, and programs that ran on habit.

What he did

Redefined the mandate. Restructured the team and developed two direct reports into independent leaders of their own functions. Reset the program portfolio, starting with an 18-week onboarding and development program for every incoming class. Turned satisfaction survey results into a prioritized plan with owners and timelines. Integrated an independent clinician so people could get confidential mental health support outside the reporting line. Positioned the department as steward of the organization's $320M+ investment in its players.
